DCOUNT Function.
The DCOUNT Function Helps you to counts the cells that contain numbers in a field [column] of records in a list or a database when that match with the given conditions. And here this function looks at records of apple trees those "Age" is >14 and counts how many of the "Age" fields in those records contain numbers.It can only count values, the text items and blank cells are ignored in the function.
Syntax : - DCOUNT(database,field,criteria) The DCOUNT Function syntax has the following Arguments : - database :- This is the entire list of information you need to examine, including the field names at the top of the columns. field : - This is the name, or cells, of the values to count, such as "Apple". criteria : -This is made up of two types of information. (i) The first set of information is the name of the Fields to be used as for selecting the records such as the "Age", (ii) The Second set of information is the actual record or records, which are to be selected in the formula such as "Apple" or >14. Remarks :- Make sure that the criteria range does not overlap the list. |
