So Microsoft Office 2010 has come up of with New & Improved ribbon, Microsoft Excel 2010 contains the Effortless interface, which consists of a customizable visual system of tools & commands. Improved ribbon First time Microsoft Excel 2007 introduced the ribbon. That makes it easy for you to find the commands and features. But that were buried due to complex menus and tool bars in the previous version. Although you can customize the (QAT) Quick Access Toolbar in Excel 2007, but in 2007 wasn’t possible to add your own tabs or groups to the ribbon. However, you can create a customize tabs & groups, rename or change the order of the built tabs and groups with Microsoft Excel 2010.
Spreadsheet Screen A spread sheet is a software or application that organizes data into horizontal rows and vertical columns. And that portion of Microsoft Excel is called or known as the worksheet area. Rows are identified by numbered (1, 2, 3 … 1048576) and columns are identified by letters (A, B, C… XFD) above the worksheet area is known as Ribbon, the Ribbon is a collection of the buttons and tools or you can say commands will use within Microsoft Excel by you. Separately from the Ribbon, you need to be aware of several other types of elements of Ribbon in Microsoft excel. Title bar: The top part of the application that displays the excel file name & application name. [Budget of April-2012 - Microsoft Excel] Name box: Displays the cell address [e.g. (A1)], or name of the active cell. Active cell: The currently selected cell is called or known as the active cell. The active cell has a Thick border around it shown in the above picture.. Insert Function button: Built to opens the Insert Function dialog box. Scroll bars: Excel worksheets have both horizontal and vertical scroll bars. This built to scroll sheet. Sheet tabs: Microsoft Excel Workbook opens with three worksheets such as the following [e.g. Sheet1, Sheet2 and Sheet3]. You can add many new sheets quickly by hitting (Shift+F11), delete, move, hide, unhide and move sheets or tab in worksheets. Tip Excel program icon : The Excel Program icon, placed at upper left corner of Excel workbook that presentations a list of options such as Restore, Move Size Minimize Maximize and Close. Quick Access Toolbar: The (QTA) Quick Access Toolbar is built to speed up your work and provides to basic right to use file functions. Such as Save, Undo & Redo. And you can change the QTA position by right click on the small arrow icon then click on Show Quick Access Toolbar Below the Ribbon. On the other hand, you can add more commands in to (QAT) by click on More Commands from the drop down menu to that you use most regularly. Microsoft Excel is the utmost commonly used spread sheet program in the world. A spread sheet is a software or application that helps to organizes data into rows and columns. Spread sheets are utmost commonly used to manipulate numerical value and data like those used to start calculate your household budget, calculating profit / loss statements for your business etc. It can also be used to organize other types of data, such as text and formulas. You use rows and columns in Excel to enter data about our daily household account for your insurance needs, your guest address book to make sure that birthday cards, billing are sent out on time, or even catalog your book collection. Once the data has been stored in spread sheet (Excel), you can sort and filter the data to outfit your needs. Understanding how to create an effective spread sheet can help you make better choices. First, let’s start with the basics Creating a basic excel worksheet. Click on Start => All Programs => Microsoft Office => Microsoft Excel 2010.
